My name is Abe. I’m a Somali so my real first name is “Ibrahim” but Americans are incapable of pronouncing it the way Somalis do so I’ve been going by “Abe” since the 6th grade.  People often say to be, “but shouldn’t it be “Ibe”? Yes, yes it should, but I chose Abe…so drop it.
